The Liebherr LTM 1400 AT crane recently made its debut in the Midwest.
June 7, 2006 — There are only seven of them in the country so it was no surprise when the Midwest's first Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1 was setting 90,000-lb steel girders only days after shipping to Stevenson Crane's shop in Bolingbrook, Ill. The new LTM 1400 has a capacity of 500 tons, a tip height nearing 440 ft, and a main boom of 197 ft. According to Stevenson, a WBE/DBE full service equipment rental company that offers Linden Comansa tower cranes, Terex truck cranes, rough-terrain cranes and boom trucks, Terex American and Manitowoc crawler cranes, and Liebherr all-terrain cranes, this 500-ton machine is the only crane in its class to travel with the main boom in the dolly, allowing contractors faster setup and more on-the-job working time.

“The abilities of this crane have been recognized by the U.S. market, and the response has been overwhelming,” said Ingo Schiller, executive vice president of sales, Liebherr Crane, Inc. “The LTM 1400-7.1 has the longest waiting list of any Liebherr all-terrain model, and Liebherr has increased production to meet this demand.”

Stevenson's fleet also consists of Shuttlelift Carrydeck cranes, Herkules and Xena portable cranes, Alimak construction hoists, and the Gehl and Manitou lines of material handlers.
