SIA Seeks Applicants for A92 Committees
September 11, 2006 • The Scaffold Industry Association (SIA), the secretariat for the A92 series of ANSI standards, is seeking applicants to take part in the A92 Standards Development committees. Apply now through mid-October to be considered for membership at the A92 Annual Meeting, which will be held November 5-7 in
A92 Standards Development committees include:
- A92 Main Committee;
- A92.2 - Vehicle-Mounted Elevating and Rotating Aerial Devices;
- A92.3 - Manually Propelled Elevating Aerial Platforms;
- A92.5 - Boom Supported Elevating Work Platforms;
- A92.6 - Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms;
- A92.7 - Airline Ground Support Vehicle-Mounted Vertical Lift Devices;
- A92.8 - Vehicle-Mounted Inspection and Maintenance Devices;
- A92.9 - Mast-Climbing Work Platforms; and
- A92.10 - Transport Platform.
Applicants shall have a direct material interest in aerial work platforms and must be part of one of the following:
- Consumer/consumer organization;
- Directly affected public;
- Distributors and retailers;
- Experts;
- Government (users, general interest);
- Industrial/commercial;
- Insurance;
- Labor;
- Manufacturers;
- Professional societies;
- Regulatory agencies;
- Testing laboratories; and/or
- Trade associations.
Membership on the A92 Main Committee is held by an organization, while membership on the subcommittees is held by individuals. Not all committees or areas of interest are open for new membership, but your expression of interest is solicited.
