June 16, 2006 — The construction boom in Glendale, Ariz., is fueling population growth and economic development throughout the northwest Valley. Aerial equipment specialist NES Rentals is increasing its role in this area's expansion this week with the opening of its newest rentals facility on June 16.
“Arizona is one of the fastest growing states in the nation,” said NES Rentals' Regional Vice President Dave Meirick. “Glendale has shown it has the vision and commitment to lead that growth with a brand new NFL stadium, and new retail and residential construction projects beginning almost every day. As an equipment provider to the construction industry, it is only natural for NES Rentals to open a branch in Glendale.”
Spurred by construction of the Cardinal's stadium, new projects are starting throughout Glendale, including retail outlets, major entertainment centers, and downtown residential developments. The local economy has been boosted by the thousands of new residents who have arrived in recent years. In the last five years, the number of businesses calling Glendale home has doubled.
Glendale will be NES Rentals' third equipment rental location in Arizona and the second in the Phoenix area. The branch offers a range of rental equipment including aerial work platforms, material lifts, compaction and earth moving equipment, light towers, generators, welders, breakers, trenchers and utility site vehicles by manufactures such as Genie, Terex, Ditch Witch, Yanmar, Sullair and Skyjack.
