Lifting Gear Hire Boosts Rental Volume by More than 50%

August 2, 2006 • Lifting Gear Hire (LGH), Bridgeview, Ill., recently announced its 2005 growth achievements, boasting a 57.1% increase in total rental volume and 54% in total volume from 2004. A subsidiary of Lifting Gear Hire Group plc, LGH specializes in the rental, sales, service, inspection and testing of lifting and winching equipment.

“In addition to our increases in rental volume and total volume, we've also significantly increased our profit margins,” said Tony Fiscelli, general manager of Lifting Gear Hire's USA corporate headquarters. “This has allowed us to reinvest into the LGH USA market by hiring additional employees, adding new products to our line, etc. We believe that by investing in our company, we are really investing in our customers' interests.”

Several factors have contributed to the recent growth of the company, including the acquisition of the MaxiBar Spreader Bar from Bishop Lifting in October 2005, the introduction of the MOD 600 Modular Beam (a larger capacity spreader beam), and the addition of more stock to the existing LGH product line. The company is currently developing and implementing a new sales management structure to effectively manage and further expand this rapid growth.

“Our customers have made our business what it is today,” explained Sales & Marketing Coordinator Molly Ward. “We plan to continue expanding our services and equipment line to further accommodate client needs. We hope that by building a strong customer-service relationship, our company will continue to build credibility and will also continue to move up the ranks as one of the nation's top rental companies.”

Lifting Gear Hire plans to grow existing markets in 2006 and hopes to build up its newer locations in Houston, Dallas, Nashville, and New Orleans.
