Del-Tron has created www.3DContentCentral.com to show design engineers how its components work through 3D CAD models.

May 18, 2006 — Del-Tron Precision, Bethel, Conn., recently announced that it is making 3D models of its linear motion products available in all major computer-aided design (CAD) formats in an online catalog on its web site at www.deltron.com and www.3DContentCentral.com. This tool enables users to locate the component they need as well as configure, view, and download the desired 3D model for use in their own design.

According to the company, downloading certified models saves design engineering cost and makes it possible to bring products to market faster. An advantage of the online catalog is that customers can view, zoom, pan, and rotate 3D models of the company's products on the web by downloading a free viewer without requiring CAD software.

Del-Tron product lines that are currently available on the on-line catalog include ball slide assemblies, anti-creep linear slides, crossed roller slides, precision series, high precision series, mini posi-drive stages, posi-drive stages, friction free actuators, crossed rolled rail sets, crossed roller slide tables, and micro miniature automated positioning stages.
